[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11일 GH가 운영하는 경기도 주거복지센터는 화성시 내 주거취약계층을 방문해 폭염 극복 물품을 전달했다고 밝혔다.

경기도 주거복지센터는 국토교통부의「주거취약계층 주거상향 지원사업」으로 화성시 내 비주택 거주민에게 이사비, 생필품 등을 지원하고 있다고 했다. 

이번엔 더위에 취약한 쪽방촌, 컨테이너 거주민 중 신청자 30여 가구 대상으로 넥밴드 선풍기, 쿨매트, KF-94 마스크, 물티슈 등을 전달했다고 전했다.

강현숙 경기도 주거복지센터장은 “기록적인 폭염 속에서 열악한 주거환경으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 비주택 거주민분들에게 조금이라도 힘이 되길 바라는 마음을 담았다”며 “앞으로도 경기도내 주거취약계층의 주거복지를 위한 지원 활동들을 지속적으로 확대할 것”이라고 말했다.

한편 GH는 경기도내 주거복지 정보 사각지대를 해소하고 도민의 주거안전망을 강화하기 위하여 2019년 4월부터 경기도로부터 주거복지 업무를 수탁받아 경기도 주거복지센터를 운영해오고 있다고 했다.
