민원인 박 모씨는 “저희 아파트는 차량통행이 원활한 상태에서 비교적 조용한 아파트였는데 2020년 상반기에 하수관 굴착 매설 공사를 한 이후에 과속방지턱 앞 아스팔트 꺼짐 현상도 생기고 차량이 과속방지턱을 넘기 직전 브레이크를 밟고 방지턱을 넘는 순간 소음과 진동으로 인근 빌라 주민도 반복되는 고통으로 민원 피해가 크다”고 말했다.  

또한, “주변 야산 택지 개발 현장을 수시로 오가는 덤프트럭이 지날 때 진동 소음이 극심하며, 어린이 보호구역으로 설정되어 있음에도 과속단속카메라가 없다 보니 방지턱을 넘을 때 급정거하게 되어 지하에 매설되어 있는 하수관이 울림통이 되어 진동소음이 가중되는 역할을 하는 것 같다”고 말했다.

가평군 관계자는 과속방지턱에 대한 주민의견 청취 및 가평경찰서 협의 결과 과속방지턱을 이전 설치하는 것으로 결정되어 하수관로 지반침하 재공사와 방지턱 높이는 현 높이대로 10m 후방으로 이동 설치하며, 어린이 보호구역 내 교통안전 강화를 위하여 2021년부터 무인교통단속장비(과속단속카메라) 설치사업을 시행 중으로 민원 요청 구간은 2022년 5월 중으로 설치한다고 밝혔다.
