[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 25일 경기도의회 김경호 의원은 경기도의회 가평상담소에서 조종천 하천 정비 민원을 상담한 후 담당 관계자들과 협의하여 민원을 해결했다고 밝혔다.

조종천 계단은 지난 가평상담소에 접수되어 해결된 계단으로(가드레일 제거 요청) 위험하고 불편했던 가드레일이 제거되어 주민이 자주 계단을 이용하는데 하천변 정비계획이 늦어져 계단 및 계단 주변에 무성한 잡초와 불법쓰레기로 문제가 되고 있다고 했다.

민원인은 “조종천 계단과 바닥에 잡초가 무성하여 계단을 이용할 수 없어 불편하다”며, 또한 “하천변에 버려진 불법쓰레기는 조종천을 찾는 지역주민들과 관광객들에게 불편을 주고 있으므로 쓰레기 수거와 함께 하천 제방의 주변 잡초를 제거해 깨끗하고 안전한 조종천이 될 수 있도록 해 달라”고 말했다.

이에 김경호 의원은 현장을 확인하고 조종천변을 이용하는데 불편한 사항을 청평면사무소 관계자에게 전달하며 조치해줄 것을 요청했다고 전했다.

김 의원은 “가평 조종천을 찾는 지역주민 및 관광객들에게 청정 조종천을 이용할 수 있도록 더 세세한 부분에 대해서도 관심을 가져 깨끗한 하천과 환경이 될 수 있도록 최선을 다하여 살피겠다”라고 말했다.
