[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부] 18일 오전 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장 정윤경 의원은 경기도융합과학교육원이 운영하는 찾아가는 이동과학차 참관을 위해 둔대초등학교를 방문했다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사는 군포시 소재 어학원발 코로나19 확진자 증가로 인한 군포시 전체학교 원격수업전환 조치가 5월17일 0시부터 해제한 상태에서 진행되면서, 철저한 방역관리하에 진행되었다고 전했다.  

1부에서는 융합과학교육원 장덕진 교사가 1시간가량 ‘사이언스 매직 쇼’를 진행하며, 학생들에게 과학적 원리가 반영된 보틀마술, 파이어볼, 심리마술, 공중부양, 사라지는 물, 액체질소, 공기대포 등 다양한 마술 공연을 선보였다고 했다.

이어서 각반 교실 등에서 학생들을 3개조로 나뉘어 별자리 무드등, 에어로켓, VR카드보드 및 AR홀로그램 만들기 체험이 진행됐으며, 학생들은 과학의 원리를 이용한 마술쇼 관람과 과학체험 등 다채로운 경험을 통해 이루어지는 과학행사에 흥미진진한 반응을 보였다고 했다.

정윤경 위원장은 이동과학차와 과학체험 프로그램을 둘러보며, “코로나19로 몸과 마음이 지친 우리 아이들에게 다소나마 활기를 불어넣는 시간이었던 것 같다”며 참관 소감을 밝혔다. 이어 “기초학력향상 등 공교육 강화를 위한 AI활용과 VR,AR 등 스마트기기를 통한 다양한 교육적 경험을 확대하려는 노력이 필요하다”며, “과감하고 적극적인 선택과 지원을 통해 포스트코로나 시대를 대비해 나가자”고 언급했다.
