[김현우 기자 = 포천] 포천시는 13일 포천시 에너지 자립마을 조성 협의체 구성을 위한 협약식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

‘포천시 에너지 자립마을 조성 협의체’는 기후변화 문제와 에너지 위기에 대응하고자 마을주민 스스로 에너지 효율을 높이기 위해 신재생에너지 생산에 참여하고, 에너지 절약 문화를 실천하는 마을 공동체를 구성하는 사업이다.

이번 협의체 구성에는 포천시청 환경관리과(기후변화대응팀)를 전담기관으로 가산면 금현4리·감암2리, 관인면 냉정2리, 일동면 수입1·3리, 사직1·4리, 영중면 양문2·3리 9개 마을, ㈜케이디솔라, ㈜에이치와이이앤씨, ㈜그린쏠라에너지 신재생에너지 설비 참여기업 3개소 등이 참여했다.

이날 협약식에서는 효과적인 신재생에너지 생산을 위한 방안 및 에너지 절약 실천 사례를 공유하고 에너지 효율 향상을 위해 논의했다.

이번 협약식을 계기로 총사업비 18억8천6백만 원을 들여 올 상반기 중 9개 마을에 신재생에너지 자립마을을 조성하고, 개인주택 321가구(총 963kW) 및 상업용 9개소(총 133.5kW)에 태양관발전설비를 설치할 계획이다.

백영현 포천시장은 “관내 도시가스가 공급되지 않는 지역의 에너지 취약성을 보완하는 것은 물론, 친환경 에너지 전환이라는 측면에서도 의미 있는 사업이라 생각한다”며, “이번 사업으로 각 가구마다 연간 36만 원의 전기요금 절감 효과가 예상되며, 공동시설에 설치한 발전소 수익으로도 마을 복지에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다”고 밝혔다.
