[김준호 기자=동해시] 동해시(시장 심규언)는 겨울방학을 맞아 관내 청소년들을 대상으로 천문 우주과학에 대한 호기심과 창의력 향상을 위한겨울방학 별별탐험을 진행한다고 밝혔다.

이에따라, 별별탐험은 3개 과정으로 나누어 참가 청소년의 수준에 맞춰 낮부터 저녁까지 이어지는 당일 체험형 천문교육 탐험 프로그램으로 운영된다. 

오는 21일부터 4일간 총 4회 진행되며, 12세부터 19세까지의 청소년을 대상으로 초급(12∼13세), 중급(14∼16세), 고급(17∼19세) 과정 등 천체분야의 수준별 맞춤형 체험학습이 마련되어 있다.  

겨울철 별자리와 성도 익히기, 태양 관측, Q&A, 갈릴레오 망원경 및 친구의 별자리, 무드등 만들기, 천구와의 밤하늘 좌표 알기, 천체망원경 조립, 천체관측 등 과학적 탐구 소양을 배양하기 위한 다양한 체험 프로그램이 진행된다. 

참가자 모집은 오는 7일부터 11일까지 5일간 동해시청소년수련관 홈페이지를 통해 온라인 사전 예약접수를 진행하며, 기타 자세한 사항은 동해시청 체육교육과 동해시청소년수련관으로 문의하면 된다.

한편, 동해 별누리천문대는 지난 2021년 9월 영동권 최초로 청소년수련관에 건립하여, 청소년을 대상으로 다양한 천체관측 프로그램을 선보이고 있다.

이선우 체육교육과장은 “이번 프로그램은 동해시 청소년들이 우주적 상상력을 키우고 창의적인 사고와 과학적 탐구 소양을 기를 수 있는 좋은 기회가 될 것이라며 청소년들의 많은 참여를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
