[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시는 오는 10월까지 ‘화석과 물길을 찾아 떠나는 생생체험’과 ‘어서와, 탄광은 처음이지’라는 주제로 생생문화재 사업을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 태백의 대표적 관광 명소인 검룡소와 구문소를 대상으로 진행되는 ‘화석과 물길을 찾아 떠나는 생생체험’과 철암역두선탄시설을 무대로 펼쳐지는 ‘어서와 탄광은 처음이지’로 진행된다.

‘화석과 물길을 찾아 떠나는 생생체험’은 검룡소(명승)와 구문소 오르도비스기 지층과 제4기 하식지형(천연기념물)을 대상으로 천혜의 자연경관을 더욱 가깝고 친밀하게 즐길 수 있도록 구성된 프로그램이다.

‘검룡을 만나다!’(다양한 미션과 이벤트 체험), ‘생명의 물줄기, 태백을 만나다!’(1박 2일 캠프형 프로그램), ‘구문소의 전설을 마주하다!’(현장답사와 만들기 체험) 등 3개 세부 프로그램으로 진행될 예정이다.

‘어서와, 탄광은 처음이지?’는 철암역두 선탄시설(국가등록문화재)을 대상으로 탄광산업발전의 중심지였던 태백의 역사와 근대산업유산의 가치를 배울 수 있도록 구성된 프로그램이다.

‘씨컴스와 석탄공장’(철암역두 선탄시설 답사 및 석탄 채굴 및 가공체험), ‘광부의 흔적을 찾아서!’(철암탄광역사촌과 365세이프타운 답사), ‘검은 노다지, 새로운 시대를 만나다!’(철암역두 선탄시설 답사 및 신재생에너지 체험) 등 3개 세부 프로그램으로 운영된다.

참여자모집은 유선을 통해 선착순으로 모집하며, 기타 자세한 내용은 주관 단체인 한국문화유산연구센터 문화유산활용부로 문의하면 된다.

태백시 관계자는 “생생문화재 사업을 통해 많은 분들이 태백의 소중한 자연 및 문화유산의 가치를 재발견할 수 있길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
