[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강릉시는‘2035 강릉 공원녹지기본계획(안)’에 대해 전문가 및 주민들의 다양한 의견을 수렴하기 위해 지난 29일 강릉과학산업진흥원에서 공청회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

공원녹지기본계획은「도시공원 및 녹지 등에 관한 법률」에 따라 10년 단위로 기본계획을 수립하는 것으로, 기초조사와 시민 설문조사 등을 통해 공원녹지 추진계획 및 지속 가능한 미래상을 제시하여 공원녹지 정책의 발전 방안에 대한 기반을 마련한다고 했다.

강릉시는 목표연도인 2035년까지 계획인구 29만 1,500명 기준 1인당 12.77㎡의 도시공원을 확보할 구상이고, 이를 위해 장기 미집행 도시공원을 정비하여, 주제공원 유형의 다양화와 함께 신규공원을 확충할 계획이며, 조성이 가능한 공원계획의 수립, 생활권별 공원・녹지의 균형적 배분 및 확충, 풍부한 수변 자원을 활용한 친수공간 조성, 강릉시민의 건강한 삶을 위한 양질의 휴식공간 조성으로 사람과 자연‧문화가 공존하는 공원녹지의 네트워크 구축 등에 주안점을 뒀다고 했다.

이번 공청회 전문가 및 주민의 의견 수렴을 통해 시 도시공원위원회 자문, 시의회 의견 청취 등을 거쳐 오는 10월 중 강원도에‘2035 강릉 공원녹지기본계획’승인을 신청할 계획이라고 전했다.

강릉시 관계자는“이번 계획이 수립되면 생태적으로 건강하고 쾌적한 도시환경을 발전시켜 시민의 삶의 질 향상에 많은 기여를 하게 될 것”이라고 말했다.
