[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시는 안정적인 분만 인프라 구축을 위한 분만취약지 산부인과 지원사업과 시민의 생명보호와 건강증진을 위한 응급환자 이송비 지원사업을 추진하고 있다고 밝혔다.

태백시는 지난 2016년부터 보건복지부와 함께 분만취약지 지원사업으로 산부인과 1곳에 운영비를 지원하고 있다고 전했다.

이에 따라 지역 유일의 산부인과인 한마음산부인과에서는 전문의 2명, 간호사 인력과 장비 등을 갖추고 임산부를 위한 진찰, 분만, 수술 운영, 야간 응급 분만 등 24시간 분만 가능한 의료체계를 갖추고 있다고 했다. 

태백시는 안전한 분만 환경 조성과 분만율 향상을 위해 의료인력 인건비 등을 지속적으로 지원해 나갈 계획이라고 전했다.

또한, 태백시는 관내 응급환자가 타지역으로 이송이 필요한 경우 응급차량 이용경비를 지원하고 있다고 전했다.

태백시민과 관내 90일 초과 거주 외국인, 그 가족의 응급환자가 응급 차량을 이용해 관내 의료기관에서 관외 종합병원이나 상급종합병원으로 이송되는 경우 비용을 지원 받을 수 있다고 했다.

신청 방법은 환자 본인, 가족 등이 신청서와 관련 구비서류를 보건소에 접수하면 되고 검토를 거쳐 신청일로부터 15일 이내에 지원금을 지급한다고 했다.

태백시는 지난 2020년부터 현재까지 응급환자 342명의 이송비를 지원했다고 전했다.
