[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 올해 횡성군 첫 모내기가 서원면 창촌1리 차용수씨 논에서 실시되었다고 밝혔다.

차용수씨는 4월 21일 모내기를 시작하여, 오는 5월 초까지 약 14ha에 이르는 경작농지에 모내기를 완료할 계획이라고 전했다.

한편, 군은 이번 모내기를 시작으로 2,100ha에 본격적으로 모내기를 추진해 오는 5월 말까지 마무리할 예정이며, 이와 함께 수도작 생산 기반 지원에 10억 7천 2백만 원의 예산을 지원하여 고품질 쌀 생산 및 관리에 힘쓴다고 했다. 

또한, 세부적으로 발생할 수 있는 못자리 실패, 육묘 부족 농가에 대비해 총 3,750상자를 생산·지원할 수 있는 예비 육묘장을 각 읍·면에 설치했으며, 약 2,532여 농가를 대상으로 벼 육묘용 상토 5만 6,597포, 맞춤형 비료 3만 1,439포를 지원하며, 특히, 벼 재배 농가의 벼 도복 피해 경감, 횡성쌀 '어사진미' 미질 향상·수량 증대를 위해 수용성 규산질비료 2만 7,000봉을 지원하는 등 고품질 쌀 생산을 위하여 행정력을 집중하고 있다고 전했다.
