[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 홍천군 대표 맛집을 뽑는 ‘홍천으뜸맛집’ 선발에 많은 업체가 응모, 치열한 경쟁이 예상된다고 밝혔다.

홍천군에 따르면 올해 25곳의 홍천으뜸맛집을 선발하는 공개모집에 48곳이 접수, 약 2대1의 경쟁률을 보이고 있으며, 접수는 홍천읍이 30곳으로 가장 많았고, 서면 5곳, 영귀미면 4곳, 북방·두촌면 각 2곳, 남면·화촌·내촌·서석·내면 각 1곳씩이라고 했다.

심사는 학계, 전문가, 소비자 패널로 위촉된 심사자가 지난 4월 14일부터 오는 5월 26일까지 신청 음식점을 방문해 홍천군 농산물 활용도, 메뉴, 맛, 위생, 시설, 서비스 등을 종합적으로 평가하며, 홍천으뜸맛집에 선정되면 인증 현판 부착, 홍보 물품과 장비 지원 등 다양한 혜택이 제공된다고 전했다.

박승영 홍천군 농업기술센터 소장은 “홍천을 대표하는 으뜸맛집 선정과 육성을 통해 관광객은 물론 지역 주민들에게 우수한 맛과 차별화된 서비스 제공으로 침체된 지역경제 활성화를 도모할 계획”이라고 말했다.

한편 홍천군 농업기술센터는 오는 2024년까지 홍천으뜸맛집 100곳 육성을 목표로 지난 2020년 8곳, 지난해 22곳 등 현재 30곳을 홍천으뜸맛집으로 선정해 육성하고 있으며, 올해는 25곳을 추가로 선정해 총 55곳을 육성할 계획이라고 했다.
