[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시가 재난안전 통합관리시스템을 완비하고 재난 상황에서 시민의 생명과 재산을 보호하기 위해 완벽 대응에 나선다고 밝혔다. 

재난안전 통합관리시템 구축은 재난상황 발생 시 정보의 수집ㆍ전파ㆍ현장상황 대응 통합관리 시스템 및 실시간 현장 상황파악과 공유를 통해 신속한 대응 지휘체계 확보하기 위해 추진한 사업으로, 지난 2006년에 구축된 재난안전상황실은 장비가 노후되어 현장 상황 실시간 모니터링 및 신속한 대응에 어려움이 있었고, 최근 재난의 복합적인 성격으로 인한 대응기관 증가로 인해 관련부서 및 유관기관 등과의 협업을 위한 회의 공간이 부족하여 부서 간 협조체계에 한계가 있어 공간 확충이 시급한 상태였다고 했다. 

속초시는 이를 위해 지난해 9월부터 재난안전특별교부세 4억 원과 자체 시비 9억 원 등 총 13억 원의 예산을 투입하여 재난안전상황실 기능보강과 협업 부서 재배치를 통해 비상상황 발생 시 현장 상황파악 및 전파 등 신속한 대응 지휘체계 확보했다고 전했다.

재난안전상황실, 안전총괄과, 교통과, 교통상황실 환경개선 사업으로 자연재해 등 재난과 그와 연관된 교통상황의 업무 연계를 위한 공간을 재배치하였고, 재난정보의 수집ㆍ전파 및 현장 상황관리 대응체계 통합관리를 위한 영상표출시스템 설치와 장비를 보강했다고 했다.
