[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 고성군은 농촌 고령화에 따른 일손 부족 문제를 완화하고 농가 경영비 절감을 돕고자 '고령농업인 벼 육묘 지원사업'을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

사업대상은 만 70세 이상 벼 재배농업인으로서 농업경영체가 등록된 농지에 대하여 추진하며 대상농가의 경작규모는 0.1~ 2ha 이하이며, 농가 공급은 관내 육묘은행에서 오는 4월 말에서 5월 말 공급예정이라고 했다.

고령농가 벼 육묘지원사업은 총사업비 2억3천9백4십2만원(보조 50%, 자부담 50%)으로 225농가 248.5㏊로 육묘상자 59,855개를 지원할 계획으로 야촌육묘은행에서 27농가 7,654육묘상자를 원암육묘은행에서 198농가 52,201육묘상자를 공급하며, 고령농가로부터 육묘 신청을 받아 육묘은행과 위탁재배계약을 체결, 볍씨를 파종하고 1차 병충해 방제를 마친 어린모를 모내기 시기에 맞춰 농가에 공급함으로써 부족한 농촌 일손문제 해결과 생산비 절감에도 크게 기여하고 있고, 일반인은 모판 1개당 4,000원에 구입하지만 고령농가는 군에서 2,000원을 지원받아 2,000원만 내면 된다고 전했다.

김창래 농업기술센터소장은 “본 사업을 통해 고령농업인의 영농 경영비 절감과 적기 영농실천으로 고품질 쌀 생산에 도움이 되기를 바란다.”라고 밝혔다.
