[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 27일, 태백시는 태백풋살경기장에서 '제5회 태백시장배 실내 풋살대회'를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

미니 축구나 길거리 축구로 불리는 풋살은 배구장만한 실내 공간에서 5명이 한팀을 이루어 가로 3m, 세로 2m의 골문에 공을 차 넣는 경기이며, 태백시와 태백시체육회가 주최하고 태백시축구협회가 주관하는 이번 대회는 17팀 200여 명이 참석한 가운데 청년부, 장년부, 노장부로 나누어 그동안 갈고 닦은 기량을 마음껏 펼칠 예정이라고 전했다.

시 관계자는 “생활체육 활성화와 풋살 저변확대를 위해 마련된 이번 대회에 풋살동호인과 시민 여러분의 많은 관심을 바란다”며 “코로나 19 방역수칙 준수하에 안전하게 경기를 치룰 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

태백시는 생활체육 활성화를 위해 해마다 야구, 족구, 배드민턴 등 다양한 대회를 개최하고 시설 확충 및 개선에도 많은 관심과 노력을 기울이고 있다고 밝혔다.
