[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시가 봄철 산불 대비 폐기물 불법소각행위 집중단속 감시반을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

속초시는 2019년 발생한 속초·고성 산불과 최근 열흘간 이어진 동해안 산불 같은 대형 재난이 반복되지 않도록 산림 인접 지역 주변을 중심으로 폐기물 불법소각행위를 집중 단속할 계획이라고 전했다.

이번 단속은 속초시 산불방지대책본부 운영기간인 5월까지 산림과 인접한 지역에서 영농부산물, 생활폐기물 등의 불법소각 행위를 집중적으로 단속하며, 위반사항이 적발되면 최대 100만원의 과태료를 부과된다고 했다.

속초시 관계자는“순간의 부주의로 돌이킬 수 없는 산불로 이어질 수 있는 만큼 시민 모두가 산불 예방에 동참해 주실 것을 당부 드린다.”라고 말했다.
