[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 19일부터 20일, 26일부터 27일 4일간 태백시는 365세이프타운 어린이제품안전체험관에서 2022년 새학기 맞이 ‘O/X퀴즈 이벤트’를 운영한다고 밝혔다.

이번 이벤트는 자유이용권 소지자 중 초등학생 이하 어린이를 대상으로 ‘자전거안전수칙 O/X 퀴즈대회’를 진행하며 선착순 50명에게 점수에 따라 소정의 기념품을 증정할 예정이라고 했다.

어린이안전체험관은 산업통상자원부 산하 한국제품안전관리원이 주관한 공모사업에 선정됐으며, 실생활에서 어린이 대상 제품의 위험 요소를 배우고 올바른 안전습관을 조기에 형성토록 하는 체험시설이 구축되어 있다고 했다.

정보통신기술(ICT)을 활용한 자전거 및 킥보드 등 어린이 탈 것의 종합안전교실, 일상생활에서 자주 사용하는 국가통합인증마크(KC)인증 어린이제품 안전교육장 등이 조성되어 있다고 전했다.

태백시 관계자는 “새로이 오픈하는 어린이안전체험관에 많은 관심 부탁드리며, 새학기를 맞은 어린이들이 365세이프타운에서 체험을 통해 안전에 대한 지식을 흥미롭게 배워가길 바란다”고 말했다.

또한 “어린이제품안전체험관의 운영을 통해 어린이 안전사고 예방에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
