[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 8일 태백시는 시청 소회의실에서 다문화가족의 사회 적응과 안정적인 정착을 지원하기 위해 태백시 다문화가족지원 자문위원회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

다문화가족지원 자문위원회는 태백시의회 부의장, 가족센터 운영위원장, 다문화가족 대표, 강원도태백교육지원청 교육과장, 태백가정폭력상담소장을 신규 위원으로 새롭게 구성하여 위촉하고, 태백시 다문화가족 지원사업에 대해 심도 있는 논의를 진행했다고 했다.

자문위원회는 결혼이민자 등의 안정적 정착 지원, 사회적·경제적 자립 지원, 다문화가족의 건강한 가족관계 형성 및 인권보호, 다문화가족 자녀의 양육 및 교육지원의 정책과제의 20개 사업을 검토했다고 했다.

태백시는 자문위원의 자문 및 의견을 수렴하여 올해 시책사업 및 신규사업 발굴에 반영하여 사업을 추진할 계획이라고 전했다. 

임성원 자문위원회 위원장은 “ 다문화가족의 안정적인 지역사회 정착을 위해 다양한 시책을 적극 발굴하고 내·외국인간 소통과 화합을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

다문화가족 대표인 자문위원 오까노 나오에 씨는 “태백시와 태백시가족센터에서 다문화가족을 위해 다양한 사업을 추진하고 있는 것에 감사드리며, 언어소통의 문제로 발생하는 다문화가족의 일상생활의 불편함 등이 해소될 수 있도록 다문화가족 지원사업을 다각적으로 검토하고, 프로그램 운영을 세심하게 살펴봐 주기를 바란다.”고 말했다.
