[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 춘천시정부 마을자치(주민자치 및 마을공동체)가 전문기관과 손을 맞잡고 저변을 확대한다고 밝혔다.

(재)춘천시마을자치지원센터(이하 센터)는 최근 (재)춘천인형극제(이하 인형극제), 춘천문화원 춘천학연구소(이하 연구소)와 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 전문기관들과의 협약은 단순한 마을자치 활동영역 확장을 넘어서  전문성과 당사자성이 높아진 계기가 되었다는 데에 의의가 있다고 전했다.

먼저 인형극제와의 협약을 통해서 인형극 공연 분야의 지역문화 콘텐츠 특성화 사업 기획부터 마무리 단계까지 춘천시 주민자치회 및 마을공동체가 참여할 수 있는 기반이 마련될 예정이라고 했다. 

지난 2021년 1월 법정 문화도시로 최종 지정된 만큼, 주민들도 문화·예술 분야의 주체가 되어 함께 인형극의 마을, 도시로 완성한다는 ‘주인의식’을 심어줄 수 있는 긍정적 효과를 가져올 것으로 보인다고 했다.

또한, 연구소와의 협약으로 주민자치회가 마을별 역사자료 수집·기록을 하는 과정에서 마을 아카이브 구축과 관련한 전문적 지원을 받을 수 있게 된다고 했다.

무엇보다 센터가 올해 신규사업으로 시행 예정인 <우리동네 온앤오프 사진박물관> 사업의 원활한 운영에 큰 역할을 수행할 것으로 기대된다고 했다. 

센터 관계자는 “지난해 돌봄 분야의 업무협약(선한이웃 마을돌봄 프로젝트)에 이어 마을자치의 활동 분야를 더욱 넓힐 수 있게 이바지할 문화·예술 및 마을기록 전문기관과 협약을 맺어 기쁘다”라며“앞으로도 지역 내 주민자치 활동 확산을 위하여 센터가 할 수 있는 일을 적극적으로 찾겠다” 고 말했다.

한편 센터는 전국적 지방자치·지방분권의 기조에 맞춰 지난 2020년 설립된 중간지원조직이고, 그동안 마을공동체 활성화 및 주민자치 활동의 안정적 정착을 목표로 업무를 진행하고 있으며, 다양한 분야의 기관들과 업무협약을 추진해왔다고 전했다.
