[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시가 2022년 사물 주소판 설치 위치 조사를 실시한다고 밝혔다.

사물 주소는 도로명과 기초번호를 활용하여 건물에 해당하지 않는 시설물의 위치를 특정한 정보로, 버스 및 택시 정류장, 옥외시설에 설치된 승강기, 옥외 대피시설 등이 해당 시설물에 속한다고 했다.

그간 주민들이 많이 찾는 곳이지만 건물이 아닌 시설에는 주소가 부여되지 않아 사고 및 긴급 상황 시에 신속한 대처가 어렵다는 문제가 제기되어 왔다고 했다.

이에 속초시는 이번 조사를 통해 속초시 전역의 버스정류장, 옥외 대피시설 등 약 200여 개소의 사물 주소판을 설치하고 점진적으로 시설물 설치를 확대한다고 밝혔다.

속초시 관계자는“사물 주소 부여를 통해 정확한 위치 파악으로 위급상황 및 안전사고에 빠르게 대처 할 수 있으며, 시민들의 편의와 안전한 도시를 만들기 위해 사물 주소 부여를 확대해 나가겠다.”라고 말했다.
