[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 3월 9일까지 속초시는 2022년 선거철 불법 옥외광고물 특별 단속을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

속초시는 급증하는 불법입간판과 현수막, 전단지 등 위법 상황에 대하여 과태료 부과 등 행정조치를 실시할 방침이며, 선거운동 기간에 편승하여 설치하는 공공목적 및 상업목적 불법 옥외광고물을 중점 단속할 계획이라고 전했다.

주요 정비대상은 파손, 추락 등 안전사고 위험이 있는 노후·불법 간판, 음란·퇴폐적 유해광고물, 보행자의 통행에 지장을 초래하는 현수막, 입간판(에어라이트) 및 벽보, 전단지 등이며, 불법 유동광고물의 경우 적발 즉시 수거하고 노후간판은 광고주로 하여금 자진정비를 유도하며 음란·퇴폐성 광고물(전단지, 명함)은 적발 즉시 폐기 처분하고 불법광고의 전화번호를 이용정지 요청할 방침이라고 했다. 

속초시는 이외에도 안전하고 쾌적한 환경 조성을 위하여 주요 도로변, 사거리 아파트 등 분양 목적으로 불법 대량 설치되는 현수막에 대하여도 집중 정비할 계획이라고 전했다.
