[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 3월 4일까지 동해시는 『동트는 동해대학』 제1기 <지역발전리더학과/비학위 시민대학> 3-4학기 수강생을 추가 모집한다고 밝혔다.

2년(4학기제) 학사과정으로 운영되는 『동트는 동해대학』은 지적욕구 충족을 통한 삶의 질 향상과 시민활동가 양성을 위해 지난 2021년(1-2학기)에 이어 올해 3-4학기 학사과정이 운영될 예정이며, 시는 수강생(동해시민) 15명을 추가 모집할 계획이고, 3학기 학사과정은 3월부터 6월까지 매주 목요일과 금요일 오후 2시 동해시 평생학습관에서 12주간 진행된다고 했다.

주요내용은 전공과목 ‘사회적경제의 이해, 재테크 경제대학, 한국 경제발전, 도시개발 부동산과 공공투자’ 등 12강, 교양과목 ‘이야기가 있는 [클래식 인문학], 생애건강관리, 민주시민교육[심화]’ 등 12강으로 진행되며, 또, 4학기 학사과정은 9월부터 12월까지 12주간 운영될 예정이라고 했다.

한편, 동해시는 2021년에 진행된 학사과정으로 주민자치, 자치분권, 주민참여예산, 마을자원발굴, 예산 공모사업 등을 비롯해 동아리 활동‘그린워킹 플로킹’등 6회의 생활실천활동을 펼쳐 총53회, 연인원 1,618명이 참여하며 시민활동가로 사회에 봉사할 수 있는 민주시민 인적자원 육성을 실천했다고 했다.

수강생은 동해시에 주소를 둔 사람이면 누구나 지원할 수 있으며, 수강신청은 입학원서를 작성해 동해시 평생교육센터 이메일 또는 방문접수하면 된다고 전했다.
