[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시는 2022년 주거 취약계층을 위해 주거급여 지원 대상을 확대하고 급여금액을 인상한다고 밝혔다.

주거급여는 전월세 가구에 임차료 등을 지급하고 자가 가구는 주택 노후도에 따라 수선유지비 등을 지원하는 사업이라고 했다.

태백시는 지난해 소득인정액이 기준중위소득의 45%(4인가구 219만 원)이하 가구에 대해 4인가구 기준 최대 37만 1천 원을 지급했다고 전했다.

올해부터는 기준중위소득의 46%(4인가구 235만 원) 이하 가구에 대해 4인가구 기준 최대 39만 1천 원을 지급한다고 했다.

또한 2021년부터 시행된 ‘청년 주거급여 분리지급’ 연령 기준도 ‘만19세 출생일’에서 ‘출생년’으로 조정되며, 단 지급대생에서 제외되는 만 30세인 경우 출생 월을 적용한다고 했다. 

청년 주거급여 분리지급은 취학・구직 등 목적으로 부모와 떨어져 사는 만 19세부터 30세 미만 미혼 자녀가 부모와 주민등록상 주소가 다를 때(타 시・군) 주거급여를 별도로 지급하는 제도라고 했다. 

현재 주거급여를 받고 있는 대상자는 별도로 신청할 필요가 없으며, 신규신청을 원하는 대상자는 주민등록상 주소지 동 행정복지센터를 방문하거나, 복지로 홈페이지로 신청할 수 있다고 했다. 

김태형 건축지적과장은 “주거 환경이 열악한 취약가구를 지속적으로 발굴하여 주거 사각지대 최소화에 적극적으로 힘쓸 예정이다”고 말했다.
