[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강릉시는 2020년 11월 27일 군소음보상법 시행에 따라 오는 28일까지 소음대책지역의 피해보상금 신청 접수를 받고 있다고 전했다.

지난 2월 15일 기준 대상자 총 4만4천여 명 중 64%에 해당하는 2만8천여 명이 신청을 완료한 가운데 미신청한 인원이 1만6천여 명에 달한다고 했다.

군소음대책지역 피해대상자 확인은 강릉시청 홈페이지 공지사항(국방부고시 제2021-51호)이나 군용비행장 소음지역 조회 시스템에서 확인이 가능하다고 했다.

현재 대단지 아파트 출장 접수가 종료됨에 따라 해당 주민센터 또는 녹색 도시체험센터(이젠)에서 직접 접수하거나 우편(강릉대로 33, 강릉시청 환경과 군소음대책팀) 또는 이메일로 접수하면 된다고 했다. 

보상금 지급결정 내용은 오는 5월 31일까지 신청인에게 개별 통보되며, 오는 8월 31일까지 보상금이 지급될 예정이라고 전했다.

조성각 환경과장은“소음대책지역 내 주민들은 자신들의 정당한 권리행사를 위해 신청기간 만료일인 2월 28일(월)까지 신청해 달라”고 당부했다.
