[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시는 농산물우수관리(GAP) 안전성 분석 지원 사업을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

태백시는 농산물우수관리 GAP 신규인증 농가 확대와 인증 농산물의 안정성 확보를 위해 토양·용수 분석비와 안전성 검사비를 지원한다고 했다.

사업 대상자는 태백시 거주자로 신청일을 기준「농수산물 품질관리법」제6조에 따라 농산물우수관리(GAP) 인증을 받은 농가와 인증을 받을 농가라고 했다.

지원항목은 토양, 용수, 농산물의 잔류농약 및 중금속 등 유해물질 관련 검사비를 지원하며, 다만 각 항목별 분석 결과가 인증기준에 부적합한 경우와 타 국가기관 또는 지자체 등에서 안전성 검사비용을 지원받은 경우는 지원대상에서 제외된다고 했다.

농산물의 잔류농약 및 중금속 등 유해물질 관련 검사비(안전성 검사비)지원은 농협대행사업으로 추진되며, GAP 인증을 위한 토양・용수 안전성 분석 희망 농가는 오는 28일까지 신청서 및 구비서류를 갖춰 농업기술센터 농업유통팀으로 방문 접수하면 된다고 했다. 

김석윤 농업기술센터장은 “태백시에서 생산하는 농산물의 안전성 확보를 위해 많은 농가의 GAP 인증 참여를 바라며, 지속적으로 안전농산물 생산기반을 구축해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 농산물우수관리제는 농산물의 생산에서부터 수확 후 관리와 유통단계까지 농산물과 농업환경에 대하여 농약·중금속·유해물질 등 식품안전을 위협한는 요소를 관리하고 품질 인증하는 제도라고 전했다.
