[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시는 태백고원-700 산소길과 대조봉 등산로를 잇는 연화산∼대조봉 생태탐방로 조성사업에 박차를 가하고 있다고 전했다.

이번 사업은 국도 38호선 도로개설로 단절된 송이재 생태축을 복원하여 한국산하 명산인 연화산과 낙동정맥의 상징성 및 역사성을 회복하고 안전한 야생동물 이동통로 확보 및 탐방로 이용자의 편의를 제공하고자 추진됐다고 했다.

연화산∼대조봉 생태탐방로는 총사업비 36억 원을 들여 지난해 12월에 공사를 착공해 올해 6월에 준공할 계획이라고 전했다.

연화산 둘레길과 대조봉 사이 생태통로는 길이 60미터, 폭 10미터 규모로 건설될 예정이며, 연결 접속도로는 길이 270미터, 폭 4미터가 추가 개설될 예정이라고 했다.

태백시는 현재 생태통로의 교대를 설치 완료했으며, 생태통로를 공장에서 제작 후 현장으로 반입, 조립, 콘크리트 충진 등을 통해 설치할 계획이라고 전했다.
