[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 28일까지 태백시는 관광객들 관광편의 증진과 도시미관 개선을 위해 관내에 설치된 관광안내 표지판 전수조사를 추진한다고 밝혔다.

태백시는 하장‧고한‧상동‧봉화‧도계 방면 등 조사권역을 나눠 점검을 실시하며, 노후화되어 관광지 식별이 불가능한 안내표지판, 색이 바랬거나 표기의 오류가 있는 연립형‧지도형 종합안내판을 정비하고 안내표지판이 없는 관광지 진입로 입구나 길목 등에는 추가 설치할 예정이라고 했다.

박현모 문화관광과장은 “이번 전수조사를 통해 태백시를 방문하는 관광객들의 관광 편의성을 개선하고, 지역 명소와 관광지를 효과적으로 알릴 수 있도록 최선을 하겠다”고 말했다. 

한편, 태백시는 관광객 편의를 위해 매년 노후 안내판 정비 및 추가 설치를 지속 실시하고 있다고 전했다.
