[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 24일 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장 정윤경 의원은 경기도교육청 학생건강과로부터 2022학년도 1학기 학교 방역활동 인력지원 사업 계획에 대해 보고를 받았다고 전했다.

이날 보고는 군포의왕교육지원청에서 진행됐으며, 경기도교육청 학생건강과 유승일 과장, 서용완 사무관 등 경기도교육청 관계자들이 참석하여 학교 방역에 대한 사업 계획 보고와 의견 교환이 이루어졌다고 했다.

정윤경 위원장은 “학교는 교내 이동수업, 과밀학급 등 물리적으로 거리두기가 어려워 코로나19 집단감염이 매우 우려되는 상황이다”라며 “학교 안에서의 세심하고 철저한 방역관리가 우리 학생들의 학습권 보장에 꼭 필요하다”고 강조했다.

경기도교육청의 2022학년도 1학기 학교 방역활동 인력지원 사업은 신학기인 3월 오미크론 변이의 확산세에 대비하여 학교 내 감염 확산 방지를 위한 방역을 위해 인건비 예산을 지원할 계획이며, 해당 사업은 약 245억 원의 예산을 투입하여 약 10,421명의 방역인력을 채용할 예정으로, 주요 내용은 코로나19 대응 학생 보호 방역활동, 예방수칙 준수 등을 지원하는 사업이라고 했다. 

유승일 과장은 교육부의 시도교육청 자체 재원 활용 방침에 따라 각급 학교에서 학교기본운영비로 인건비 약 245억 원을 전액 편성하여 사업을 우선 추진하되, 2022년 제1회 추경예산 편성 시에 예산을 확보하여 사업비 약 171억 원을 각급학교에 지원한다는 추진 계획을 설명했다고 했다.

덧붙여 정윤경 위원장은 2022학년도 신학기 대비 철저한 방역 안전망 구축을 다시 한번 당부하며, 학교 내 철저한 방역을 위해 비접촉식 손소독체온계 등을 전 교실에 보급하는 방안도 제안했다고 전했다.
