사업지원 전담팀은 지난 2021년 조직개편에 따라 신설됐으며 비사업부서의 토목‧건축 등 건설사업 추진시 사업관련 전문지식 부족으로 공사설계, 현장관리 등 어려움을 겪고 있는 관련 부서 담당자들의 공사추진에 대한 부담을 해소하고자 추진됐다고 했다.

전담팀은 지난 한 해 동안 건설사업 29건(토목분야 16건, 건축분야 13건)에 대한 기술지원(사업컨설팅), 설계검토, 감독업무 지원 등을 통하여 17건의 건설사업 준공하는 등 예산집행의 효율화와 품질향상에 기여했다고 했다.

이정우 소통감사담당관은 “앞으로도 공공개발사업의 효율적인 추진을 위한 전담 지원부서의 노력으로 예산절감과 시민 편익 증진에 더욱 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
