[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시는 농업 인력난 해소를 위해 2022년 외국인계절근로자 도입사업을 위한 예비 수요조사를 실시한다고 밝혔다. 

지원대상은 태백시 관내 농업인이며 작물의 특성상 계절성이 있어 노동력이 집중적으로 필요한 경우 3개월 또는 5개월의 기간으로, 농가당 작물 및 재배면적에 따라 최대 9명까지 신청이 가능하다고 했다.

고용주 농가는 외국인 계절근로자가 거주할 수 있는 적정한 주거환경을 갖춰야 하며, 최저임금 이상의 임금을 지불하는 등 기타 근로기준법 및 고용주 준수사항을 준수하여야만 인원배정이 가능하다고 했다.

태백시는 수요조사를 거쳐, 2월까지 법무부에 도입배정을 신청하고, 2월말에 배정결과를 받아 3월 이후 도입을 추진할 예정이라고 전했다. 

신청을 원하는 농업인은 오는 12일까지 농업기술센터 농업정책팀으로 방문 접수하면 되고, 기타 자세한 사항은 농업기술센터 농업정책팀으로 문의하면 된다고 전했다.
