속초시는 이번 사업으로 2021년 11월‘물자립 도시 선포식’이후 수질에 대한 시민들의 눈높이를 맞추고, 노후 정수장 시설물 개선에 더욱 박차를 가하여 시민들에게 보다 안전한 수돗물을 지속적으로 공급할 예정이라고 전했다.
