이번 읍‧면 대표단 운영회의는 그동안 자율방재단 활동이 미흡하여 금년 상반기에 조례 제정을 시작으로 자율방재단 활성화를 위하여 읍‧면별 순회 교육 및 홍보를 통해서 70명에서 현재 230명으로 확대 구성하여 본격적인 재난 예방 활동을 실시하고 있으며, 이번 횡성군 자율방재단 읍‧면 대표단 운영회의를 통해서 단원들이 재난 예방 활동에 필요한 단원 소집 및 운영 방법, 행정복지센터와 협업 관리, 기상 특보시 단계별 비상근무 및 대처요령, 현장 활동 확인서 및 현장 사진 관리, 물품 보관 방법 등을 논의하여 향후 자율방재단을 보다 체계적인 운영의 기틀을 마련하게 된다고 했다.

남원봉 단장은 “관내 재난시 인명과 재산피해 최소화를 위해 체계적인 재난 활동을 수행하여 모범적인 운영관리에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
