또한 둔대초의 경우는 학교와 공동주택 간 통학로에 인도설치 요청과 학교 인접 공사(예정)부지 주변 통학로 안전 확보를 위한 조치를 요청했다. 군포중 인근 보도없는 구간에 대한 민원과 관련해서는 현재 추진중인 체육관 건립공사 준공시기 등을 검토하여 적극적 학교시설개방과 지역주민 홍보협력을 통해 통학안전을 지역사회가 함께 할 수 있는 근본적인 조치를 고민해 달라고 주문했다.  

군포경찰서 관계자는 군포초 앞 도로는 어린이 보호구역으로 지정되었고, 과속단속카메라 설치를 위한 심사가 완료된 상태라며, 조만간 개선이 이루어 질 것이라고 했다. 군포시 관계자는 관련부서 협조 등을 통해 논의된 여러 학교의 통학안전을 위한 시선유도봉 설치, 수목관리 등의 조치를 취해 나가겠다고 말했다. 

정 위원장은 기존 주택가 골목의 경우 교통안전 시설물의 설치여건이 되지 않아 어린이 교통안전 봉사활동이 많이 요구되는 상황으로 내년에는 경찰서 학교가 함께하는 교통안전 캠페인도 함께 진행해 줄 것을 주문했다.
