[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 2일 GH가 수탁운영하는 경기도 외국인 투자단지 관리센터(이하 경기도 외투센터)는 지난 11월 입주기업을 위한 소방·위험물 안전점검 컨설팅 서비스를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

최근 경기도 내의 제조업체, 공장시설 등에서 동절기 화재사고가 빈번히 발생하고 있는 가운데, 산업단지 내 안전관리의 중요성이 대두되고 있다고 했다. 

경기도 외투센터는 화재·폭발 등의 중대재해 제로화를 위해 2019년부터 상·하반기 ‘안전점검 컨설팅서비스’를 지원하고 있다고 전했다.

11월 진행된 이번 컨설팅서비스에서는 경기도 외투기업 중 희망업체를 선정, 소방·위험물 등의 재해 발생가능성을 진단하고 안전관리가 미흡한 현장에 대해 컨설팅을 제공했다고 했다.

GH(사장 대행 안태준)는 “외투단지 입주기업들의 안전 사각지대 최소화를 위해 꾸준히 안전관리 수준을 높일 것”이라며 “이번 점검은 사업주들의 동참과 자율적 개선을 유도하는 현장 맞춤식의 컨설팅 방식으로 진행해 실질적 도움이 되었다는 현장의견이 많았다”고 말했다.

한편, 경기도 외국인투자단지는 1997년 외환위기 이후 외국인투자를 촉진하기 위해 지정된 산업단지이고, GH가 산업통상자원부·경기도의 위탁을 받아 운영중이며, 경기도 내 총 8개 외국인투자단지를 관리하고 있다고 전했다.
