[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 19일 의정부시 흥선동행정복지센터는 올해 김장철을 맞아 자매결연지인 충북 괴산군 연풍면에 절임배추 직거래장터를 운영했다고 밝혔다.

코로나19로 어려움을 겪는 농가가 정성껏 수확한 절임배추를 합리적인 가격에 판매해 농가에는 활력을 주고, 흥선동 주민들은 도심에서는 구하기 힘든 품질 좋은 배추를 구입할 수 있어 많은 주민들의 신청이 이어졌으며, 그 결과 총 549박스의 준수한 판매 실적을 거뒀다고 했다.

이날 흥선동행정복지센터 직거래장터 운영 시, 충북 괴산군 김현용 연풍면장, 심석진 연풍면 주민자치회 부위원장 및 구전회 분과위원장이 참석한 가운데, 앞으로도 양 지역 간 도농교류 및 문화적 분야의 활발한 교류로 돈독한 동반자 관계를 이어가기로 했다고 전했다.

오영경 흥선동 주민자치회장은 “코로나19가 장기화된 상황에서 위드코로나 전환 덕분에 서로 만나 소통할 수 있는 기회가 됐다”며  “어려운 시기일수록 다양한 분야에서 서로 협력해, 상생할 수 있는 방안을 찾을 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
