[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 19일 동해시는 동해실내체육관 내 설치된 동해시예방접종센터 운영이 종료된다고 밝혔다.

지난 4월 15일 개소 이래 11월 19일까지 219일 만이며, 이후 코로나19 백신접종은 위탁의료기관에서 가능하다고 전했다.

그동안 동해시는 예방접종센터 개소 전 모의훈련과 의료진과 운영인력 사전교육 등 신속하고 안전한 접종을 위한 철저한 준비과정 후 75세 이상 어르신 백신 접종을 시작으로, 사회 필수 요원, 미등록 외국인 등을 대상으로 한 백신 접종을 진행하며, 빈틈없는 백신 접종 관리와 이상 반응 관리를 이어왔다고 했다.

의료인력 수급의 난조에도 불구하고 40여명의 인력 투입과 자원봉사센터의 873명에 달하는 인력지원, 기타 군부대, 소방서 등 유관기관과의 협력으로 약 3만 1천여 건의 예방접종을 진행하며, 동해시 예방 접종률을 높이는 데 크게 기여했다고 했다.
