[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 18일 오후 4시 화천군이 운영하는 사내도서관은 온라인 소통 프로그램을 통해 온라인 책놀이 ‘도서관 유드 유’프로그램을 개최한다고 밝혔다. 

양방향 온라인으로 운영되는 온라인 책놀이에서는 팝업 북 만들기, 푸드 테라피, 온라인 레크리에이션 등의 이벤트가 다채롭게 진행되며, 사내 도서관은 15일 오후 6시까지 도서관 홈페이지를 통해 신청자 모집 후 온라인 책놀이 키트를 사전 배송할 계획이라고 했다. 

화천군은 코로나19가 확산되던 지난해 9월부터 공공 도서관이 없는 간동면, 상서면, 하남면 지역을 대상으로 도서 택배 서비스를 도입해 지속적으로 운영하고 있다고 했다. 

도서관 운영이 방역수칙으로 인해 제한됐지만, 어린 학생들의 독서습관 유지를 위해 택배 서비스를 도입했으며, 택배비와 포장비는 화천군 부담이라고 전했다. 

덕분에 공공 도서관이 없는 면 지역 거주 어린이가 있는 가정에서는 연령별, 주제별로 도서관이 추천하는 책 꾸러미를 1인 당 5권씩, 부담 없이 빌려보고 있으며, 원하는 도서가 없을 경우 신청하면 되고, 4인 가족일 경우 최대 20권을 빌릴 수 있어 전집 등의 대여도 가능하다고 했다. 

최문순 화천군수는 “자가격리 중인 아이들이 무사히 일상으로 돌아올 수 있도록 정성을 다해 지원하겠다”고 강조했다.
