[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장 정윤경 의원은 대한민국 글로벌 브랜드대상 위원회 및 글로벌뉴스통신이 주관하는 ‘대한민국 글로벌브랜드 대상’을 수여 받았다고 밝혔다.

정윤경 위원장은 4차 산업혁명시대의 대한민국 혁신성장브랜드 성장동력 가치기여에 공헌한 공로를 인정받아 수상한 것으로, 정보통신기술(ICT) 융합으로 이뤄지는 차세대 산업혁명인 4차 산업혁명시대를 맞이하여 <에코스마트 조성계획 경기도 적용방안 연구(2018)>, <포스트 코로나 시대 대응을 위한 경기도 학교 스마트 체육 활성화 방안 연구(2021)> 등 정책연구용역 수행을 통해 미래도시 및 미래교육의 대안을 제시하여 「경기도 스마트도시 조성 및 산업 지원 조례」, 「경기도교육청 학교 스마트체육 지원 조례」를 도출했을 뿐 아니라 「경기도교육청 4차 산업혁명 교육 진흥 조례」를 제정하여 미래사회가 요구하는 창의적 사고능력을 갖춘 융합형 인재 양성의 기반을 마련했다고 했다.

특히, 최근 정윤경 위원장은 건물 노후화로 타 학교와의 교육환경격차가 심한 군포초를 미래교육에 맞는 쾌적한 교육환경을 제공하기 위해 도교육청과 지속적인 협의를 해 온 결과 교육부에서 지원하는 그린스마트 미래학교와 경기도교육청에서 지원하는 경기도 특화사업으로 동시에 선정되어 향후 169억 원의 사업비가 투입되도록 이끌었다.

정윤경 위원장은 “포스트 코로나 시대에서 4차 산업혁명이 가속화 될 것으로 예상되는만큼 선제적인 연구활동으로 미래전략을 분석하고 제시하여 미래사회가 요구하는 기본 방향을 마련하는 기틀을 다지고자 했을 뿐인데 의미있는 상을 주셔서 감사하다”고 말하며, “앞으로도 교육기획위원회 위원장으로서 4차 산업혁명 교육 학교인프라 구축 등 실제 현장에서 필요한 정책이 시행될 수 있도록 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 이번 시상식은 코로나19 사회적 거리두기에 따라 주최 측에서 직접 방문하여 상패를 전달하는 형식으로 진행됐다고 전했다.
