[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 27일 의정부시 신곡2동 주민자치회는 정기회의를 통해 주민자치회를 이끌어갈 임원진을 선출하여 주민 스스로 만들어가는 자치분권 실현에 첫발을 내디뎠다고 밝혔다. 

이날 회의는 코로나19 확산 방지를 위해 방역 수칙을 철저히 준수한 가운데 개최됐으며 총 35명 위원 전원이 참여해 100%라는 높은 투표율을 보였다. 투표결과 자치회장에 송명호 위원, 부회장에 안효경 위원, 감사에 고무중 위원이 선출됐다고 했다.

지난 9월 위원 위촉을 완료한 제1기 신곡2동 주민자치회는 임원진 선출을 완료함으로써 주민자치회의 성공적인 운영을 위한 초석을 놓았으며 올해 안으로 운영계획 수립, 분과위원회 구성을 완료해 운영 기틀을 마련해 나갈 예정이라고 했다.

제1기 신곡2동 주민자치회는 관내 거주하는 주민으로 구성되어 임기 2년간 지역주민을 위해 활동을 하게 되며, 지역발전을 위한 공공사업을 추진하는 경우 시의 행정적 지원은 물론, 예산까지 지원받을 수 있다고 전했다. 

이번에 선출된 송명호 주민자치회장은 “초대 자치회장으로서 막중한 책임감을 가지고 앞으로 2년간 신곡2동의 발전을 위해 솔선수범하겠다.”고 말했다.

김상래 신곡2동장은 “당선된 모든 임원분들께 진심으로 축하를 드리며, 풀뿌리 자치의 활성화와 정착을 위해 많은 노력을 기울여주실 것을 부탁드린다.”고 밝혔다.
