[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 28일 동두천시 최용덕 시장은 소요초등학교 인근 야외 운동기구 설치 사업대상지 현장을 답사했다고 밝혔다. 

해당 지역은 소요산역이 인접해 있고 최근 몇 년간 공동주택단지가 들어서며 인구가 늘고 있는 곳이라고 했다.

이날 최용덕 시장은 소요동13통장 등 주민들이 참석한 자리에서 “거주지와 가까운 곳에서 쉽게 운동할 수 있도록 생활체육시설 환경을 조성해 나가겠다”면서 “코로나19 단계적 일상회복 시작을 위해 시민 여러분의 백신접종 완료와 방역수칙 준수에 적극 참여해 달라”고 당부했다.
