[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 23일 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장 정윤경 의원은 사단법인 녹색환경실천본부가 주최한 제7회 녹색환경 미술·만화·포스터·재활용품 만들기 전국대회 시상식에서 “녹색환경봉사 대상”을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

녹색환경봉사 대상은 사단법인 녹색환경실천본부가 “깨끗하고 아름다운 녹색환경을 우리 후손들에게 유산으로 물려주어야 한다”는 녹색환경실천본부의 정신에 입각하여 헌신적인 봉사와 투철한 사명감으로 녹색환경 보호·보전에 공헌한 공로자에게 매년 수여하는 것으로 알려진 상이라고 했다.

정윤경 도의원은 제10대 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장으로서 경기도교육청 환경교육에 관한 사항에 한국판 뉴딜 대표과제 중 하나인 2050 탄소중립 정책 방향에 따른 미래 기후변화 대응에 관한 사항을 규정한 「경기도교육청 학교환경교육 진흥 조례 전부개정조례안」을 대표발의하는 등 후속세대의 환경학습권 보장을 위한 입법 활동도 활발히 추진하고 있다고 했다.
