[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 6일 김경호 도의원은 경기도의회 가평상담소에서 더불어민주당 포천가평지역 이철휘 위원장, 가평군의회 이상현 의원과 함께 국지도 86호선이 꼭 시행되도록 총력을 다하겠다는 의지를 밝혔다.

국지도 86호선(와부~설악)은 지난 제3차 국도·국가지원지방도 건설 5개년 계획(2011~2015년)에 포함되었으나 예산을 확보하지 못해 남양주 일부 구간만 시행되고 가평군 설악 구간은 사업 자체가 취소됐다고 했다.

이후 제4차 계획(2016~2020년)에는 아예 포함되지 못해 금년 제5차 계획(2021~2025년)에 포함되었으나 정치권의 관심을 갖지 못하면 예산확보를 못해 사업이 불투명해질 수 있다고 했다.

이에 이철휘 위원장은 경기도의회 가평상담소에서 김경호 도의원, 이상현 군의원과 만남을 갖고 지난 3차 5개년 계획처럼 예산확보를 하지 못하면 사업 진행이 안될 수 있어 사업비 확보에 총력을 기울이기로 협의했다고 전했다.

이번 제5차 국도·국가지원지방도 건설 5개년 계획에 반영된 구간은 국지도 86호선 양평군 서동면 수입리~가평군 설악면 회곡리 구간으로 총연장 10.63Km, 폭 20m 2차로로 개량한다고 했다.

국지도 86호선은 국가지원지방도임에도 불구하고 마을 안길보다 협소하여 그동안 많은 민원이 제기되었으나 당시 국회의원 역할 부재로 인해 방치됐던 사업이라고 했다.

따라서 이번 제5차 국도·국가지원지방도 건설 5개년 계획에 포함시키기 위해 이철휘 위원장, 김경호 도의원, 이상현 군의원과 경기도, 가평군이 나서서 각자의 역할 분담을 통해 이뤄졌다고 했다. 

이철휘 위원장은 “국지도 86호선 예산이 삭감됐던 사례를 경험으로 이번 제5차 계획에 반영된 국지도 86호선을 비롯하여 국도 75호선 개량사업, 국도 37호선 양평 옥천~가평 설악 구간도 내년도에 설계비 확보에 총력을 기울여 사업 진행에 차질이 없도록 하겠다”고 말했다.

김경호 도의원은 “이철휘 위원장과 경기도, 가평군, 가평군의회가 힘을 합쳐 사업비 확보에 총력을 기울일 계획이며 지방도 역시 5개년 계획에는 포함되었으나 사업비를 확보하지 못해 지연되고 있는 사업도 있기에 앞으로는 국도나 지방도 역시 사업비 확보에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
