[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 15일 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장 정윤경 의원은 제353회 임시회 기간 중인 경기도 안성시 보개면에 소재한 (가칭)신나는학교 신설 예정지를 방문했다고 밝혔다.

이번 방문은 7월 16일 2021년도 제3차 수시분 공유재산 관리계획안 안건 심사를 대비한 현장 확인 차원에 마련된 자리로, 사업 부서로부터 전반적인 사업 개요 및 추진 계획에 대한 보고를 받고 계획 단계부터 사업을 면밀하게 점검하기 위해 정윤경 위원장을 비롯한 재무기획관, e-미래학교담당 서기관, 안성교육장 등이 참석하여 진행됐다고 했다.

(가칭)신나는학교 사업은 폐교된 보개초등학교 건물을 리모델링하여 중학교 3학급, 고등학교 3학급 총 6학급 규모의 기숙형 중․고 통합 공립 대안학교를 설립하는 것으로, 기숙사 및 급식소 증축 재원 46억 원을 포함하여 경기도교육청 자체 재원 86억 원이 소요되는 미래학교 관련 추진 사업이라고 했다.

정윤경 위원장은 “(가칭)신나는학교 사업은 미래교육의 모델이 되는 사업인 만큼 학생과 학부모들이 새로운 교육과정에 대해 충분히 이해할 수 있도록 구체적인 방안을 제시해야 하며, 이와 관련된 기숙사 증축 부분도 신중한 검토가 필요할 것”이라고 의견을 피력하였으며, e-미래학교담당 서기관은 “급별 교육과정 운영에 대한 구체적인 방안을 마련하고 이와 연계한 교육시설 활용 계획을 수립하여 교육적인 측면에서 소홀함이 없도록 진행하겠다.”고 말했다.

이에 정윤경 위원장은 “4차 산업혁명에 대비한 창의·융합형 인재 육성을 위해 학생들의 역량을 키워주고, 학생들이 주도하는 교육과정을 운영하는 미래학교 모습이 잘 구현되어 경기도 내 타지역에 비해 교육 인프라가 부족한 안성 지역에 미래교육의 기반이 마련되는 계기가 되어 그 혜택이 돌아갈 수 있도록 적극 노력해 줄 것“을 당부하면서 현장방문을 마무리 했다.

한편, 동 사업은 지난 제2차 수시분 공유재산 관리계획 안건으로 상정되었으나 재검토가 필요하다는 의견에 따라 부결되어 이번 임시회에 재상정되었으며, 7월 16일 경기도의회 교육기획위원회에서 심사될 예정이라고 전했다.
