[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장 정윤경 의원은 경기도군포의왕교육지원청 관계자들과 함께 2021년 군포의왕 직업교육 상시 협의체회의에 참석했다고 밝혔다.

직업교육 상시 협의체는 직업교육 인식개선 및 고졸취업 지원 활성화를 도모하기 위해 지역교육청, 기초지자체, 고용센터, 직업계고, 기업인, 학부모, 학생 등으로 구성된 협의체라고 했다.

이번 회의에는 20여 명의 직업교육 상시 협의체 위원이 참여하였으며, 코로나19 확산방지를 위해 비대면 화상회의로 진행되었다고 전했다.

회의는 직업계고 취업 및 인식개선 지원 방안, 지자체·직업교육 협력 우수사례 나눔, 군포의왕지역 진로직업교육 및 특성화고 현안 설명, 직업교육 현안 문제에 대한 자유 토론 순으로 진행되었다고 했다. 

정윤경 위원장은 격려사에서 “최근 2~3년 사이 군포의왕 지역의 직업계고는 심각한 수준으로 학생 수가 감소하고 있다”며, “지역 경제 발전을 선도하는 지역친화 인력인 직업계고 학생을 위해 직업계고 활성화와 직업계고에 대한 지역사회의 인식 개선을 위한 방안을 모색하는 등 항상 관심을 갖겠다”는 약속과 함께 협의회를 시작했다.

이번 직업교육 상시 협의체 회의에서는 인문계고-특성화고 정원 조정 필요, 참여 기업에 대한 행·재정적 지원, 유사 프로그램 신청 창구 일원화, 지역 유관기관과 연계 시스템 도입, 지자체 산하 공기업 및 공공기관에 특성화고 학생 채용 기회 제공 등 다양한 의견이 논의되었다고 했다.

정윤경 위원장은 “직업계고 학생들이 학력 위주 분위기에서 탈피해 양질의 직업을 가질 수 있도록 지원해주시는 선생님들과 관계자분들께 감사의 말씀을 전한다” 면서 “직업계고 활성화를 위한 실질적 지원을 이끌어 낼 수 있도록 하기 위해 지자체 뿐만아니라 다양한 기업과 협회관계자 등의 적극적 참여와 거버넌스 구축이 필요하다”며 관계부서의 적극적 노력을 당부하며 회의를 마무리했다.
