[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 9일 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장 정윤경 의원은 경기도군포의왕교육지원청 관계자들과 함께 2021년 주민참여예산 군포 정담회를 가졌다고 밝혔다.

이번 정담회는 정윤경 교육기획위원회위원장, 군포시의회 의장, 주민참여예산 지역 자문위원, 학생, 학부모, 교직원, 지역주민 등 약 80명이 참여하였으며, 코로나19 확산방지를 위해 비대면 화상회의로 진행되었다고 했다. 

정담회는 경기교육 정책방향 및 주요사업과 주민참여예산제도에 대한 안내, 2022년도 예산 편성을 위한 지역 주민의견 수렴과 질의답변방식으로 진행되었다고 했다. 

정윤경 위원장은 주민참여예산 정담회에 참석한 군포시의회 의장, 주민참여예산 군포지역 자문위원, 학생, 학부모, 교직원, 지역 주민들께 감사의 인사를 전한 후 “경기교육과 군포지역의 현안을 중심으로 지역 주민들의 충분한 의사반영과 새로운 사업이 발굴되는 기회가 될 수 있기를 희망한다”는 인사와 함께 정담회를 시작했다.

주민참여예산 정담회에서는 다양한 정책과 사업에 대한 제안이 있었으며, 특히, 급식 질 향상 및 위기 학생 지원 방안과 도색·급식실 증축 등 노후화된 학교 시설 개선에 대한 요구가 가장 높았다고 했다. 

또한, 코로나19로 인한 기초학력저하 대책 마련과 학생 통학로 안전 관련 건의가 이어져 교육예산 운영에 대한 학부모의 높은 관심을 알 수 있었다고 했다. 

주민참여예산제는 교육공동체구성원 모두가 예산편성 등 예산과정에 직접 참여해 재정운영의 투명성과 민주성을 제고하기 위한 제도로 선정된 사업들은 숙의과정을 거쳐 내년예산에 반영될 예정이라고 했다.

정 위원장은 교육기획위원장으로서 오늘 논의된 주요사업들이 의회에서 최종심의단계에서 잘 관철될 수 있도록 적극 노력하겠다는 의지를 밝히며 회의를 마쳤다고 전했다.
