[남상훈 기자 = 원주] 오는 6월 16일까지 북부지방산림청이 '2023년 안전대전환 집중안전점검' 기간을 맞아 산림분야 재난 예방을 위해 집중안전점검을 실시한다고 밝혔다. 

집중안전점검은 재난이나 사고 발생이 우려되는 시설에 대해 집중적으로 점검해 위험요인을 사전에 발굴·해소하고 안전에 대한 국민의 관심과 체감도를 높이기 위해 실시하는 범정부적 재난 대응 활동이다.

이번 점검은 산림분야 재난 예방을 위해 산사태취약지역 258개소, 산사태복구지 9개소, 유아숲체험원 24개소 등 총 293개소를 대상으로 하며 점검의 실효성을 높이기 위해 민간전문가와 합동점검을 실시할 예정이다. 또한, 집중안전점검 결과 응급조치가 필요한 지역은 즉각 조치하고 보수·보강이 필요한 경우에는 위험요인을 적기 해소할 수 있도록 신속하게 예산 및 인력 투입할 계획이다. 

임하수 북부지방산림청장은 “이번 산림분야 집중안전점검을 통해 산림재난으로부터 국민의 생명과 재산을 보호하여 안전한 대한민국을 만들 수 있도록 최선을 다할 것”이라고 말했다.
