[김현우 기자 = 포천] 포천시는 오는 23일 ‘인문도시 포천으로 가는 길’ 개최를 시작으로 민선8기 시정방침 4대 전략 중 하나인 ‘품격있는 인문도시’ 조성을 위한 사업을 본격적으로 시작한다고 밝혔다.

시민 참여 포럼 ‘인문도시 포천으로 가는 길’은 인문도시 포천 조성 사업의 시작을 대내외적으로 천명하고자 기획됐다. 

포천시 각계각층의 기관 및 단체장으로 구성된 인문도시 조성 추진협의회 위원과 일반 시민 등 200여 명을 초청해 오는 3월 23일 포천시 여성회관에서 개최될 예정이다.

이날 1부 행사는 지난 1월 1일 KBS ‘이슈 픽 샘과 함께’의 특별 신년 기획 방송 초빙 강연자인 성공회대학교 교양학부 김찬호 교수의 기조 강연을 시작으로, 학교 교육, 독서 문화, 학부모, 학생 등 총 4명의 시민이 각자의 위치에서 생각하는 ‘인문도시 포천으로 가는 길’에 대한 주제 발표를 한다. 

2부 행사는 ‘시민이 만들어가는 품격있는 인문도시 포천’ 비전 선포식이 개최된다.

포천시 관계자는 “품격있는 인문도시 포천을 시민이 만들어간다는 상징적 출발점으로 시민이 함께하는 시민 참여 포럼을 기획했다.”며, “앞으로도 결과를 정해놓고 시작하기보다는 ‘시민이 과연 행복할까?’라는 관점에서 시민 참여 중심 인문 프로그램을 추진할 계획이다.”고 밝혔다.

한편, 포천시는 지난 2월 14개 읍면동 행복학습센터 내 인문학당 전면 구축을 시작으로 오는 4월부터는 인문, 교양 등 다양한 주제의 수준 높은 명사 초청 인문학 강연인 ‘인문학 첫걸음을 걷다.’, 포천의 명현을 통해 인문의 향기를 느끼는 ‘포천 인문 살롱’, 시민이 직접 강의하는 릴레이 인문 강좌 ‘월간 인포’, 인문도시 포천 발전 방향에 대한 공론의 장인 ‘인문 포천 포럼’, 다채로운 인문동아리 지원 사업 등 인문 문화 확산을 통해 사람다움이 넘치는, 다 함께 더불어 행복한 인문도시 포천 구현을 위해 최선의 노력을 다하고 있다.
