[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 경기도와 경기교통공사는 14일부터 일주일간 대부도 똑버스에 대한 시범 운행을 진행한 뒤 21일부터 정식 운행을 시작한다고 밝혔다. 

 

똑버스는 원하는 시간에, 원하는 장소에서 탑승해 원하는 목적지로 이동할 수 있는 신개념 교통수단이며, 14일부터 안산 대부도 전역에서 운행을 시작한다.

 

차량은 11인승 현대 쏠라티 차량 총 4대로, 매일 오전 7시부터 오후 9시까지 대부도 내에서 운행한다.

 

‘똑버스’는 경기도형 수요응답형 교통체계(DRT, Demand Responsive Transit)의 고유 브랜드로 ‘똑똑하게 이동하는 버스’라는 의미다. 

 

똑버스는 신도시나 교통 취약지역에서 고정된 노선과 정해진 운행계획표 없이 승객의 호출에 대응해 탄력적으로 승객을 수송하는 맞춤형 대중교통 수단이다. 

 

정해진 노선이 있는 기존 버스와 달리 인공지능(AI)을 활용해 승객들의 수요에 맞춰 실시간으로 최적의 이동 경로를 만들어 운행하는 것이 특징이다.

 

경기교통공사에서 운영하는 통합교통플랫폼 ‘똑타’ 앱으로 똑버스 호출과 결제가 가능하며, 승객이 가고자 하는 출발지와 도착지를 앱에 입력하면 가장 가까운 곳에서 운행 중인 똑버스 차량을 기준으로 노선이나 승차지점, 승ㆍ하차 시간을 실시간으로 산출해 안내한다.

 

승객은 안내받은 승차지점과 승차 예상 시간에 맞춰 똑버스에 탑승하면 된다. 같은 시간대에 경로가 유사한 승객이 예약하면 자동으로 우회 노선을 생성해 합승하는 식으로 운행된다. 

 

승객은 일반 시내버스 요금 1천450원을 지불하고 이용할 수 있으며, 교통카드 이용 시 수도권 통합환승 할인도 적용된다.

 

앞서 도는 2021년 12월부터 파주 운정‧교하지구에서 똑버스 시범사업을 시행해 올해 3월 기준으로 약 30만 명의 승객을 수송하는 성과를 거뒀다. 

 

이러한 성과를 기반으로 올해 상반기까지 9개 시‧군 96대를 확대 도입할 계획이다. 

 

도는 안산(대부도, 4대)을 시작으로 평택(고덕, 15대), 고양(식사·고봉, 7대), 화성(동탄, 15대, 향남, 5대), 수원(광교, 10대), 하남(위례·감일, 6대), 양주(옥정, 10대)에 똑버스를 순차적으로 도입한다. 남양주는 오남·진접·수동·별내 등 농촌 지역을 중심으로 고령자도 쉽게 이용할 수 있도록 전화로 호출할 수 있는 ‘유선콜’ 기능도 추가해 14대의 농촌형 똑버스 시범사업을 추진한다.

 

인치권 경기도 광역교통정책과장은 “안산 똑버스 운행을 통해 대부도 지역 주민들이 더 나은 교통서비스를 제공받을 수 있기를 바란다”라며 “열악한 교통인프라로 많은 불편을 겪고 있는 도민을 위해 안산을 시작으로 맞춤형 교통서비스인 똑버스 운행을 지속적으로 확대할 계획이다”라고 말했다.

 

한편 운행 개시일인 14일 오후 3시에는 도의회 건설교통위원회 김종배 위원장과 허원 부위원장을 비롯한 위원들이 현장 방문해 똑버스 사업계획을 보고받고, 직접 똑버스를 탑승할 예정이다.
