[김택곤 기자=동해시] 동해시는 농업인단체 주관으로 오는 11일 9시부터 농업인 1000여명이 참가하는 ‘제12회 동해시선도농업인대회’를 북평동 전천둔치 야외무대에서 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 농업인의 날(11월 11일)을 기념해 안전한 먹거리 생산에 기여한 농업인들의 심신을 위로하고 영농정착 의욕 고취 등 농업인단체 회원들의 화합과 참여의 장으로 마련된다.

이날 5개 농업인단체(농촌지도자, 농업경영인, 생활개선회, 여성농업인, 품목연구회) 및 농업유관기관 관계자 1000여 명이 참여하며 우수농업인 시상과, 다양한 공연 등 각종 프로그램으로 농업인들의 화합의 장이 될 예정이다. 

특히, 전시행사에는 농업인들이 많이 이용하는 농업기계 및 최근에 도입된 신기종 등 농기계 전시, 지역내에서 생산되는 농산물 및 농산물을 활용한 가공품 등 지역 농특산물 홍보전시 부스가 꾸며진다.

정미경 농업기술센터장은 “어려운 환경 여건속에서도 농업인단체 회원들의 참여로 선도농업인으로서의 역할 모색과 역량을 더욱 결집하는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 전했다.
