[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 고성군은 대문어 산란기를 맞아 남획등으로 감소 추세에 있는 문어자원 회복을 위한 대문어 매입방류사업을 추진한다고 밝혔다. 

금번 대문어 방류사업은 문어 자원 확대 및 대문어의 안정적인 생산과 공급을 위해 총 4,400만원의 예산이 투입되며, 군은 어업인들이 어획·위판한 8kg 이상의 암‧수 대문어를 매입하여 표지표를 부착한 후 산란 및 서식 적지인 인공어초 설치 지역을 포함한 산란 서식 환경이 적합한 곳을 선정하여 대문어를 방류할 계획이라고 전했다.

대문어 방류는 지난 4월 18일 초도 및 대진 연안에 대문어 59마리 방류를 시작으로 총 147마리를 대진, 거진, 아야진, 봉포 연안 해역에 방류할 계획이라고 했다.

금번 대문어 방류사업은 자원 증식을 통한 안정적인 생산·공급을 꾀함은 물론 대문어 이동 경로와 산란 장소 등 생태정보를 파악하는 데에도 많은 도움을 줄 것으로 기대하고 있다고 했다.

군 관계자는 “우리 군 대표 소득 어종인 대문어 자원량 증강과 어업인 소득 증대를 위해 지속적으로 사업을 추진하겠다” 고 전했다.
