[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 4월부터 12월까지, 화천군은 화천읍 상2리, 토마토 영농조합법인, 간동면 도송리와 방천1리 마을 등 4곳에서 공동급식 지원사업을 진행키로 했다고 밝혔다. 

화천군이 본격적인 영농철을 앞두고, 지역 농업인들이 피부로 느낄 수 있는 현장감 있는 지원책을 연이어 내놓고 있으며, 이 사업은 농번기 마을 공동급식 또는 단체 도시락을 지원하는 것으로, 여성 농업인의 영농철 가사부담 완화를 위해 시행된다고 전했다. 

각 마을에는 각각 560만원이 지원되며, 지원금은 조리원 인건비와 부식비, 단체 도시락 및 배달급식 등에 사용되며, 지난해에는 2곳의 마을에서 500여 명의 농업인이 혜택을 누렸으나, 올해는 지원마을이 4곳으로 늘어남에 따라 1,000여명 안팎의 농업인이 급식지원을 받을 것으로 예상된다고 했다.

지원하는 미생물은 고초균(유기질 분해 및 퇴비화 촉진), 광합성균(축사 악취 감소, 연작 장애 해소), 유산균(부패균 억제, PH 조절), 효모균(질소 등 영양원 공급, 산란률 등 증가) 등 4종이며, 미생물은 화학비료나 농약처럼 즉시 효과가 나타나지는 않지만, 장기간 사용해 토양에 정착하면 그 효과를 누릴 수 있다고 했다. 

화천군은 미생물 공급을 통해 화학비료 사용량 감소에 따른 농가 영농비 절감, 보다 건강하고 질 좋은 농산물 생산효과까지 기대하고 있다고 전했다.
